ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR
Reports to: Luke Davis, Assistant Director of Admissions
Office of Admissions
Overview
This full-time position reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions. The position is responsible for guiding prospective students, applicants, and their families through the admission process from initial inquiry through enrollment by providing a holistic student-centered advising experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of applicants assigned by territory
- Gain knowledge of assigned territories and develop relationships with key stakeholders in order to better serve applicants
- Collaborate with Outreach Coordinators to facilitate a smooth transition for prospective applicants to begin the application process
- Connect regularly with applicants, supporters, and family through email, phone calls, texts, and Discord
- Guide and assist applicants through the enrollment funnel with a goal to admit and enroll them. This is done through relationship building, and follow-up. Lead campus tours and facilitate individual admissions meetings
- Develop and facilitate presentations to prospective students, applicants, and other stakeholders
- Process student applications and required materials, ensuring integrity and confidentiality throughout the process
- Assist regularly with on-campus and online events
- Assist as needed with off-campus events and school visits
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
- Communicate with departments across campus to obtain and provide relevant admissions information to incoming students
- Collaborate on various projects within the Admissions department and across campus as needed, tracking deadlines, managing scope, and ensuring completion
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with MS Office
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- One or more years of experience working in admissions
- Knowledge or interest in the fields of video game development, animation, or computer science
- Experience with Slate or other CRM
Compensation: $27.40 – $29.33 per hour

Working Environment:
This job is typically done in an office environment, and includes sitting and working at a computer, as well as periods of standing, and walking. May occasionally need to lift up to 50 lbs.
