Data Analyst
Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full-time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) position located in Lexington Park, MD 20653. Telework will be allowed, however, candidate will be required to work onsite at Lexington Park, MD 20653 1-2 days per week and must reside within ~90 miles of Patuxent River, MD 20670.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform data collection, data wrangling, data cleaning, testing, and troubleshooting on large quantities of business data.
- Provide configuration and/or data management for data, information, files, and documents.
- Collaborate with software engineers to document functional requirements that serve as technical specs.
- Use SQL to query database tables and troubleshoot data issues.
- Evaluate current database design and structures; identify/recommend optimization opportunities; implement/test database improvements.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- BS/BA degree and 2 years related experience -OR- AA/AS degree and 4 years related experience -OR- HS Diploma and 8 years related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other similar discipline preferred.
- Degree's must be from a US Department of Education accredited institution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel including use of pivot tables, macros, and VBA.
- Experience performing data analysis and troubleshooting data sets.
- Experience with database design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance. An INTERIM SECRET is required to start work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Experience writing queries and DML with SQL.
- Experience using TOAD for Oracle.
- Familiarity with visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik or Tableau.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness:
- The annual compensation range is $65,000 to $80,000, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
- Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards.
