Database Administrator (MongoDB/NoSQL)
Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a Database Administrator (MongoDB/NoSQL) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full-time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) hybrid position located in Patuxent River, MD 20670. Telework will be allowed but candidates are required to work onsite at Patuxent River, MD 20670 1-2 days per week and must reside within ~90 miles of Patuxent River, MD.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and administer databases including MongoDB, MariaDB, MySQL and/or NoSQL platforms.
- Ensure database compliance with DoD STIGs.
- Configure database backups in accordance with customer requirements.
- Perform database recoveries as required.
- Perform daily checks of databases, backups, exports, jobs, and storage.
- Troubleshoot databases, schemas, and user accounts.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- AS/AA/BS/BA degree and 3 years relevant experience -OR- HS Diploma and 5 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other similar discipline preferred.
- Degree's must be from a US Department of Education accredited institution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Experience performing database installations, configurations, and upgrades.
- Experience performing database administration tasking with MongoDB.
- Strong UNIX background.
- CompTIA Security certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirements.
- Active SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Additional experience administering MariaDB, MySQL or NoSQL database environments.
- Experience with migrating existing databases to cloud-based (AWS) environments.
- Active TS/SSBI clearance.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness:
- The annual compensation range is $120,000 to $175,000, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
- Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards.
