Description
Digital Green is looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with WordPress, Java or Python, React, React.js, AWS, and DevOps. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications while ensuring best coding practices and security standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications using WordPress, Java or Python and React
- Design, implement, and maintain APIs and microservices to enhance application scalability.
- Build, optimize, and manage dynamic and responsive front-end components using WordPress plugins.
- Manage and customize WordPress-based applications, including themes, plugins, and integrations.
- Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS for cloud-based development.
- Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Ensure application security, performance optimization, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, backend developers, and product managers.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in full-stack development.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong experience with WordPress development is must, including themes, plugins, and custom integrations.
- Experience with React.js and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript).
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Will be an added advantage to have an exposure to Java or Python for backend development.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with AWS services, cloud computing, DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, and Terraform.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new technologies quickly.
