Job Overview
The Pharmacy Rx Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of prescription medications and other pharmacy products to patients. This role requires a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Pick up and deliver prescriptions and other pharmacy products to patients' homes and medical facilities.
Verify patient information and delivery addresses to ensure accurate deliveries.
Maintain an accurate log of deliveries, including recipient signatures and delivery times.
Handle prescription medications with care and follow all pharmacy protocols to ensure the integrity and security of the products.
Provide excellent customer service and address any patient inquiries or concerns during deliveries.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety procedures while driving.
Perform vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to the supervisor.
Assist with other pharmacy tasks as needed, including inventory management and packaging prescriptions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience in a delivery role, preferably in the healthcare or pharmacy industry.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescriptions.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy packages.
Working Conditions
Frequent travel within the service area to perform deliveries.
Exposure to various weather conditions while driving.
Potential evening and weekend shifts depending on delivery schedule.
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Compensation and Benefits
18.00 - $20.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
