Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, including fire alarms and intrusion detection systems (IDS). This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various low voltage systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including fire alarms, security systems, and other related technologies.
  • Conduct field service calls to troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing installations.
  • Read and interpret schematics to ensure proper installation and functionality of systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Assist in alarm system sales by providing technical expertise during consultations.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local regulations.
  • Document all service activities accurately for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
  • Provide training to clients on the proper use of installed systems.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role in the field of electrical or low voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with fire alarm systems and intrusion detection systems (IDS) is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications in low voltage installation or electrical work are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings related to low voltage systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Commute:

  • Dayton, OH 45424 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Dayton, OH 45424: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
