Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including fire alarms, security systems, and other related technologies.
- Conduct field service calls to troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing installations.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure proper installation and functionality of systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
- Assist in alarm system sales by providing technical expertise during consultations.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local regulations.
- Document all service activities accurately for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
- Provide training to clients on the proper use of installed systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role in the field of electrical or low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems and intrusion detection systems (IDS) is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications in low voltage installation or electrical work are preferred.
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings related to low voltage systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
