Job Description:
Digital Initiatives is seeking a QA Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the software testing life cycle, be proficient in manual and automation testing, and possess knowledge of programming languages like Java or Python. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software by performing cross-browser and cross-platform testing, working with agile methodologies, and implementing robust testing frameworks.
Responsibilities:
· Execute manual and automated tests to ensure software meets quality standards.
· Design, develop, and implement automation frameworks from scratch, using tools like CypressIO, Selenium, and Playwright.
· Perform load, stress, and performance testing using tools like Apache JMeter.
· Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing using BrowserStack and Selenium Grid.
· Collaborate with the development and project management teams in Agile environments using tools like JIRA.
· Ensure thorough testing of REST APIs using Postman and REST Assured.
· Work with CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins, implementing continuous testing and integration practices.
· Utilize SQL to query databases and validate test results.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a QA tester
· Working experience with Insurance systems development is a definite plus
· Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life-Cycle (STLC)
· Proficiency in Java or Python for test automation
· Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for recurring tasks
· Familiarity with testing tools such as CypressIO, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, and Jenkins.
· Knowledge of SQL database concepts (required).
· Experience with Agile development methodologies.
· Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with Jenkins for automated testing and deployment.
· Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and writing tests in Gherkin.
· Knowledge of Performance testing tools like JMeter.
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
