Job Title: .NET Developer - Expert Level Experience in Power BI
iTalent Digital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced .NET Developer to support a high-impact government project based in Hanover, MD. This hybrid position is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments and has a proven track record working with complex systems.
We are specifically looking for a developer with expert-level Power BI experience, strong backend development skills in C#, hands-on experience with Angular, and a solid background in legacy Windows DB2 systems, including Mobius and nightly batch jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into actionable technical specifications
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using the .NET Framework and C#
- Develop, deploy, and maintain insightful dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues across the full stack
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to system architecture discussions
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
- Support the entire SDLC – from design and development through testing and deployment
- Mentor junior developers and support team knowledge sharing
- Coordinate with QA and functional teams to ensure adequate test coverage and issue resolution
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 7 - 10 years of experience in .NET development with strong expertise in:
- C#, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET
- Angular(modern versions preferred)
- Windows DB2, Mobius, and managing nightly batch jobs
- Expert-level Power BI experience: capable of building complex reports and dashboards, integrating data sources, and supporting analytics initiatives
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, version control, and Agile development methodologies
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Oracle and other business intelligence tools
- Previous experience working with state or federal government systems
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
