What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Project Manager position at Digital Marketing Partners?
Small but very-rapidly growing agency in Northbrook, IL (just north of Chicago) is seeking an entry level marketing project manager to work on a variety of projects for multiple clients. Great opportunity for a recent college grad in advertising or marketing.
You'll report directly to the agency president and contribute both strategically and tactically to a number of accounts.
Job is on-site at least four days a week in Northbrook, Fridays from home (or your favorite coffee shop).
The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter who is capable of working cross-functionally on the planning and the implementation of marketing projects. You will need to display versatility in order to handle ad-hoc projects as assigned. You'll work on marketing automation, email, web dev, paid advertising, and more -- and the application of artificial intelligence to your projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day execution of digital marketing projects across multiple clients in multiple industries
- Create project plans, timelines, and task assignments using project management tools (Monday.com)
- Track progress and proactively mitigate any roadblocks or bottlenecks.
- Ensure client deliverables meet deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Participate in client meetings to document needs, provide project updates, and set clear expectations.
- Maintain version control of marketing assets, ensuring final approvals and file delivery.
- Undertake special projects as needed, such as case study development, vendor research, or workflow process improvements.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, media execution partners, and freelancers
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in marketing or advertising
- Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Business, Marketing or equivalent
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- You work smart, but fast. We're nimble and don't have the bureaucracy or layers of a large agency. Our clients appreciate it, so it's a must.
- HubSpot experience not required, but would be a big plus
- A good person. We are a nice group of folks and want to add another one. No prima donnas. This a serious, but fun, environment. (The President loves to tell dad jokes. Prepare yourself to laugh, even if you don't think they're funny. We humor him.)
- Top-of-the-line project management and people management skills
- Flexible and loves a challenge
- Someone looking to make a big impact at a small agency that likely won't stay small for much longer
