The Role
Intero Digital is seeking an IT Support Specialist to oversee and optimize the company’s IT operations and asset management. This role will be responsible for coordinating hardware and software procurement, ensuring smooth IT support processes, and enhancing cybersecurity efforts. The IT Support Specialist will work closely with vendors, the COO, HR, and internal teams to maintain an efficient and secure IT environment.
Essential Functions
- Asset Management
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all company assets to ensure accurate tracking and management.
- Monitor company assets to facilitate timely replacements and provide effective technical support.
- Coordinate with employees to assess and fulfill their computer hardware needs.
- Manage all shipping and logistics tasks related to employee hardware distribution and returns.
- Coordinate the recycling, resale, or disposal of outdated hardware in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Security and IT Compliance
- Manage access to company platforms and hardware at the time of resignation or termination to ensure the safety of company data.
- Work closely with HR in sensitive and confidential situations to ensure proper offboarding in cases requiring extra care and attention.
- Maintain approved and blocked lists for email addresses and domains to keep the organization’s email secure and efficient.
- Work with the email threat protection provider to address and resolve issues related to threat protection services.
- Manage all spam reports from employees to block threat actors and recurring phishing attempts.
- Inform the company of increased email security threats and new phishing attempts to raise awareness and reduce incidents.
- Software and Platform Management
- Maintain a database of subscription platforms used by departments across the organization.
- Review requests for new platform subscription services to avoid service overlap and support the company’s goal of integration and consolidation.
- IT Support and Microsoft 365 Administration
- Provide first-level technical support for Windows and MacOS devices, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Set up and configure new employee devices, including installing software and provisioning access to company platforms.
- Assist with mobile device management of remote employees through MDM platforms such as Addigy and Intune.
- Administer Microsoft 365 accounts, distribution groups, and licenses to ensure seamless employee access.
- Escalate complex technical issues to Managed Service Provider (MSP) for resolution.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 years of experience in IT support, asset management, or vendor relations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware procurement, and vendor management.
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSP) and outsourced IT support.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, email security, and threat management.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, HR, and executive leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
