Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MTS Consultant to support our team in managing and optimizing ACI MTS configurations. This position primarily involves support responsibilities, including overseeing a support team and resolving technical issues. The role requires expertise in IBM MQ, Oracle, and Unix Shell Scripting. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional flexibility in working hours, especially during periods of high-priority support requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the support team for MTS product configurations and related systems.
Handle troubleshooting, system maintenance, and ensure smooth operations for IBM MQ, Oracle, and Unix Shell scripting environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements and resolve issues efficiently.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Monitor system performance, recommend optimizations, and implement solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Conduct regular testing to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and transform them into technical specifications.
Implement security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to continuously enhance knowledge and skills.
Contribute to team success by actively engaging in team meetings and initiatives.
Required Skills:
Proven experience with IBM MQ.
Expertise in Unix Shell Scripting (hands-on experience required).
Solid knowledge of Oracle (high-level expertise).
Experience with ACI MTS configurations.
At least 10 years of experience in a support role involving the aforementioned technologies.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in technical documentation.
Experience with system performance optimization techniques.
Ability to mentor junior team members.
Preferred Skills:
Development experience (not essential but a plus).
