What are the responsibilities and job description for the ATE Test Engineer position at DIGITAL MONITORING PRODUCTS?
The ATE Test Engineer is responsible for the design, development and support of in-circuit and functional test programs used in the DMP manufacturing facility. Provide technical support to critical equipment. Works closely with production management and design engineers to ensure production problems are resolved with a sense of urgency. Review new product designs for testability with design engineering. Work closely with design engineering and production management to effectively implement new products into production. Review and specify new test processes to conform to quality and functional standards. Directly responsible for achievement of all manufacturing test pass rate standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum B.S. Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Manufacturing/ATE Test Engineer
- Experience with LabVIEW programming
- Experience with analog and digital in-circuit tests
- Experience with JTAG/Boundary-scan techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LabVIEW Certified Associate Developer or above.
- Experience with Teradyne TSH and DigitalTest test systems
- Experience with measuring techniques and development of tests for complex circuits
- Understanding and experience with DFT (design for testability) and DFM (design for manufacturability)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience designing in-circuit and functional tests
- Experience with schematic review for testability input
- Experience managing task using Jira
- Experience documenting processes using Confluence
- Experience conducting Gage R&R studies
- Strong time management skills and initiative that enable on-time project delivery
- Thorough knowledge of PCB design requirements and critical layout best design practices
- Experience with Visual Basic, Python or C
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting/developing functional and/or in-circuit test
- Support the overall test and engineering needs of operations
- Provide DFM/DFT to development team on new product design.
- Participate in schematic review and provide testability input
- Verify test requirements of new product designs
- Conduct acceptance test of ICT programs and functional test fixtures using Gage R&R studies
- Track and publish progress on initiatives such as implementing or updating ICT programs and fixtures
- Track and publish test results
- Document product and procedures in an organized manner for leadership and co-workers to review
- Work with design engineering teams on products that need modifications resulting from non-compliant test results
