The Electronic Technician uses electronic bench test equipment to diagnose and repair all DMP products effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
* Associates Degree in Electronics, applicable certifications or equivalent training and experience.
* Minimum 2 years of experience with
- Electronics manufacturing
- Use of electronic schematics to troubleshoot circuit boards
- Component identification codes and orientation
- Electronic bench test equipment; oscilloscope, digital multimeter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator
- Hand soldering of fine pitch surface mount and through hole components
* Proficient in research, logical reasoning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
* Be punctual, have a good work attitude, and work cooperatively with other in the department and company
* Accept and benefit from constructive criticism
* Any other relevant, equivalent combination of training and experience
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Uses schematics and electronic test equipment to diagnose and repair DMP products.
- Works quickly, accurately, and effectively to contribute to one-day RMA turnaround time or production repair goals.
- Documents all repairs in applicable database in a timely manner.
- Promptly reports any malfunctioning test equipment or fixtures to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve cycle time.
- Works cooperatively with Production Engineering to improve manufacturing and testing of new products.
- Performs final in circuit and functional testing of repaired units, as needed.
- Follows safety standards and wears personal protective equipment in designated areas as required
- Observes and adheres to DMP Data Classification Standard.
- Observes company policies. Continuously finds processes that create improved efficiency while maintaining conformance to requirements. Acknowledges responsibility to satisfy the customer, reduce cycle time and eliminate waste.
- May perform related duties or fill in for others in the department or other departments when requested. May train or instruct fellow workers regarding own duties.
