What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at DIGITAL MONITORING PRODUCTS?
The Material Handler performs manual and clerical duties related to storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good hand/eye coordination. Ability to handle small components with ease and perform neat work.
- Detail-minded as well as accuracy in recording transactions.
- Ability to count accurately.
- Above average proficiency in use of computers.
- Ability to read/follow detailed written/oral instructions.
- Ability to accurately record daily activity and/or specific observations.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision when given proper instruction.
- Possess sufficient physical strength to safely handle large test fixtures up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrate punctuality, good work attitude and cooperative relationship with others in department/company.
- Flexible with overtime.
- Accept and benefit from constructive criticism.
- Any other equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Basic skills and/ or knowledge of the following:
-Hazardous Materials Identification System (HMIS)
-Electro-static discharge(ESD).
-Moisture Sensitivity Level ratings (MSL)
-Electro-static discharge(ESD)

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Using a Work Order, accurately pulls and compiles component stock into bins for daily production schedules.
- Places newly received component stock or unused component stock onto appropriate location on stock shelves.
- May perform data entry transactions into computer system.
- Works from prints, drawings, samples and written procedures.
- Documents actions by completing appropriate forms / reports.
- Performs all work in a manner that provides for the safety and health of self and other manufacturing personnel.
