The Shipping Specialist meets customer needs by shipping product exactly as described on the BOL, correct part, address, method and the same day the BOL prints.

- Ability to pass a Physical Capacity Assessment with a DOL Level 4 (heavy) rating required.
- Prior experience working in shipping, packing or inventory highly desired.
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx and/or other freight movement software a plus.
- Ability to accurately work with details and follow detailed instruction.
- Willingness to maintain flexibility to do any job that is required to satisfy the customer.
- Basic skills and/ or knowledge of the following:
- Hazardous Materials Identification System (HMIS)
- Electro-static discharge (ESD).
- Any other equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Demonstrated punctuality, good work attitude and cooperative relationship with others in the department and company.
- Fills orders by identifying items requested; pulling items from stock; packing and labeling items; verifying completeness.
- Documents product order shipments by scanning units shipped and noting units back ordered on packing documents.
- Ships orders by identifying specified ship via and ship to address; entering information into manifest system (by scanning BOL) or manual record book; affixing appropriate address, warning, carrier and customer labels; delivering to carrier or arranging pickup; maintaining carrier records.
- Posts shipments in corporate ERP system.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Meets individual quality and quantity standards as established with Shipping Supervisor.
- Ships all BOLs same day as printed.
- Maintains shipping materials by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed materials.
