Job Description:
Our client is seeking a motivated Staff Research Associate to join their Technology Development team. As a Staff Research Associate, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and improve liquid biopsy sequencing assays. You will contribute to both independent and collaborative experiments, with a focus on driving innovation in cancer management technologies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies for cancer detection, treatment, and monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Operate liquid handlers and NGS instruments for assay development.
- Prepare samples for assays in a medium to high-throughput environment.
- Track samples throughout the NGS workflow and maintain inventory.
- Analyze data and collaborate with teams to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to product design, experimental work, and protocol creation.
- Present updates, write reports, and support FDA submissions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field with 6 years of industry experience, or Master’s degree with 4 years of industry experience.
- Experience with biological samples (tissue, blood, and biofluids).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with NGS assays and nucleic acid-based assays.
- Familiarity with process automation for nucleic acid extraction and sample prep.
- Prior experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
