Position Title: Solutions Engineering and Design Intern

Location: Dallas, TX

Your role

As a Solutions Engineering and Design Intern, you will be an integral part of our team responsible for creating innovative solutions and designs to meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with experienced engineers and designers to develop technical drawings using AutoCAD software and assist in basic customer interface activities. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in engineering, design, and customer interaction within a dynamic and supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

• Technical Drawing and Design: Utilize AutoCAD software to create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and plans based on project requirements.
• Assistance in Solution Development: Collaborate with the engineering and design team to brainstorm, develop, and refine innovative solutions to address customer needs and challenges.
• Basic Customer Interface: Engage with customers to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and provide basic support in addressing inquiries or concerns.
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis: Conduct CFD simulations using specialized software to analyze fluid flow, heat transfer, and related phenomena in various engineering applications.
• Documentation and Reporting: Assist in documenting project specifications, design changes, and progress reports to ensure accurate record-keeping and communication within the team.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, and project management to support the successful execution of projects.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in AutoCAD software and related technologies to enhance skills and contribute to the team's effectiveness functions.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design, or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software with the ability to create accurate technical drawings and designs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and quality in design work.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to team goals.
• Prior internship or coursework experience in engineering, design, or customer interface activities is a plus.
