We are actively hiring for the position of Shipping Manager for our site in Salt Lake City, UT.
Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage shipping operations ensuring that output and quality targets are achieved, and general communication of the production schedule is orderly and regular.
- Ensure that all staff are properly trained to perform the duties of their position in a safe, efficient manner
- Control costs of material, direct/indirect labor, and equipment in accordance with budget
- Direct and supervise the shipping department production employees; coach to improve performance
- Learn, participate, and execute continuous improvement efforts
- Assist with the development and execution of production plans
- Conduct performance evaluations for employees providing specific and detailed feedback on their skills and the attainment of their respective goals and objectives
- Use strategic and leadership skills to facilitate employee selection, development, retention, motivation, and strong internal relationships
- Establish a cohesive team between all stakeholders and departments to meet organizational goals
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Three to five years of management responsibility
- Demonstrated success in operations management in a production facility or manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid work ethic, motivated, flexible, and problem-solver
- Strong analytical and process management skills
