What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stitcher Operator position at Digital Room LLC?
We are actively hiring for Stitcher Operator for our plant in Van Nuys, CA
Shift: 2nd shift - 2pm to 10:30pm
Pay Range: $21 to $25 hourly. Actual compensation within the range will depend on a variety of factors including the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Access IMS program to determine priority jobs and set workload for the day
- Place printed jobs on folding machine and set up to make bifold, trifold, according to job specifications
- Observe the folding machine while running to make any adjustments and ensure a smooth and accurate fold run
- Replace worn out rubber stoppers and adjust to ensure an accurate fold, using hand tools when required
- Record production and operational data using IMS system, such as entering completed jobs
- Report all workplace hazards to management immediately
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards
- Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs
- Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned
- Place printed jobs on folding machine and set up to make bifold, trifold, parallel fold and cross-fold according to job specifications
Qualification
- Good problem-solving skills and organizational skills
- Computer Knowledge
- Attention to detail, good communication skills
- Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them
- Ability to multitask with changing priorities
- Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience using continuous folding machines, setting up, and operating stitcher machines
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs (50% of time)
- Able to stand for 8 hours
- Walking and moving around work-area (50% of the time)
