The Sales Support Specialist will play a vital behind-the-scenes role in our sales and operations team. This individual will be responsible for providing internal support to our sales representatives and operations teams, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in creating estimates, processing orders, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to apply logical thinking and critical problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate Creation: Utilize custom estimate calculators to generate accurate estimates based on product specifications and customer needs, applying logical reasoning and attention to detail.
- Order Processing: Manage and ensure the timely and accurate processing of customer orders, maintaining consistency throughout the process.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain clear, proactive communication with vendors to ensure efficient order fulfillment and recommend improvements to the Director of Operations for optimized workflows.
- Internal Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the Sales Reps, Director of Sales, and Director of Operations to provide seamless internal support and assist with logistical tasks.
- Data Management: Track and organize all sales support data and documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek efficiencies and identify areas for process improvement within the order processing and estimating systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite specifically utilizing Microsoft Excel for estimates and calculations; experience with spreadsheets is essential.
- Ability to apply logic and critical thinking to ensure accuracy in estimating and order processing.
- Demonstrated accountability and a strong commitment to completing tasks on time and to a high standard.
- Strong teamwork orientation, with a collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external vendors.
- Customer service mindset, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and maintaining high standards of communication.
- Experience with CRM systems (preferred but not required).
