DTS is looking for experienced Project Manager (Applications) for a direct client position in Pontiac, MI
Project Manager
- Client is seeking an experienced project manager to join the Application & Client Services team.
- Desire a hands-on, self-starter, and team player possessing both technical and interpersonal skills.
- Must be flexible and able to meet deadlines set by internal and external agencies to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.
- Under supervision, the project manager will be a key contributor supporting our applications and must have experience managing a variety of projects, including request for proposals (RFPs), contract/scope development, infrastructure upgrades, application enhancements and new development, and implementation of COTS/vendor applications with multiple integrations, and Agile technologies.
- Must possess high level understanding in the areas of project management methodology, web application programming, content management systems, API, database, and system design.
- Identification of the technical approach to be used on a given project and manage the system development process.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.
- Advocate for change and effectively communicate project value, including navigating individual viewpoints and building consensus.
- Manage scope throughout the project duration; manage project tasks with team members, correlate work to a work breakdown structure, and ensuringteam members track time appropriately to projects.
- Manage tasks and resources related to support, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications, where applicable.
- Potential areas of assignment with duties described above:
- Public Safety, Water Resources Commissioner, and Assessing & Taxation.
