We are seeking a Radiology Coder to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding radiology procedures and services, ensuring compliance with current coding practices, medical regulations, and payer requirements. The Radiology Coder will play a critical role in submitting claims for reimbursement and working with medical providers to ensure correct billing.

Key Responsibilities :

Accurately code radiology services and procedures using appropriate coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).

Review and analyze clinical documents, diagnostic results, and medical records to determine correct codes for radiology services.

Ensure all claims are submitted in accordance with insurance guidelines and governmental regulations (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance).

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in radiology coding procedures and healthcare regulations.

Assist in resolving billing and coding issues or discrepancies, ensuring swift and accurate processing of claims.

Collaborate with radiologists, medical professionals, and insurance companies to clarify coding issues and improve claims processes.

Identify and rectify any errors or rejections from insurance payers.

Stay current with medical terminology and advancements in radiology technologies to ensure accurate coding.

Provide support for audits related to coding, billing, and documentation practices.

Perform coding for Radiology charts with a minimum of 98% accuracy and as per turn around requirements.

Qualifications :

Education : Degree in Life Science Background

Certification : Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or other relevant coding certifications highly preferred. CIRCC Certifications is an advantage.

Experience : At least 2 years of experience in medical coding, with a strong focus on radiology coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).

Knowledge : Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems, and radiology procedures. Proficient in professional,facility and global billing Radiology coding guideliness.

Skills : Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills for interacting with healthcare professionals and payers.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software tools.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with various payer policies and coding guidelines.

Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

Ability to manage multiple coding requests simultaneously.

Familiarity with billing and reimbursement processes specific to radiology services.
