Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for receiving, shipping, and managing inventory in our warehouse. This role involves ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods, maintaining organized storage, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving:
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Unload and move products from delivery trucks to designated areas in the warehouse.
- Verify and record received goods against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
- Ensure that all incoming items are properly labeled, documented, and stored in the correct locations.
Shipping:
- Prepare and pack products for shipment according to company guidelines and customer orders.
- Accurately label packages and arrange for timely shipment via appropriate carriers.
- Coordinate with the shipping department to schedule outbound deliveries.
- Ensure that all orders are shipped on time and meet quality standards.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Track inventory levels and report discrepancies to the inventory control team.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or other software to update inventory records.
- Organize warehouse space for optimal storage, ensuring products are easily accessible and well-maintained.
- Assist in managing stock levels and identifying the need for replenishment.
General Warehouse Support:
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and warehouse cleanliness standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery (training provided).
- Support warehouse supervisors with any additional tasks related to warehouse operations as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet operational goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or inventory management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
- Ability to use warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer programs (Microsoft Office or equivalent).
- Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to be trained).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Working Conditions:
- The position may require standing, lifting, and moving items for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot/cold) depending on warehouse environment.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet operational needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
