Content Summary : Senior Video Producer / Editor at Boston, for DigitalOcean We are looking for a Senior Video Producer / Editor who is passionate about creating engaging content that excites and engages users.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating visually compelling and engaging video content for a wide range of projects, including but not limited to, product videos, brand campaigns, event content, customer testimonials, and social media assets, amongst others. The videographer will work closely with our creative team, developer content team, social media team, developer relations, and other brand stakeholders to produce high-quality content that represents the DigitalOcean brand and its value proposition.
What You'll Do :
- Execute post-production on video projects, including editing raw footage, creating motion
graphics, color grading, and sound design
Film in-person events, video testimonials, and other assets, and coordinate with external video vendors in cases where you are not the primary videographerCollaborate with creative producers, project managers, animators and designers to develop video content that aligns with project goalsInnovate and experiment with editing styles, techniques, and visual trends to enhance theoverall quality of DigitalOcean's video content
Ensure that all video deliverables are of the highest technical and creative standards,maintaining brand consistency across all platforms
Organize and maintain video assets for future use, ensuring that files are stored andaccessible for other team members

5 years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio showcasing a range ofprojects, including branding, marketing, and internal communication videos
A deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, and editing techniques to deliver engaging and polished video contentStrong analytical skills. Proactively and creatively solve issues as they arise. Participatesactively through project life cycles in pitching concepts, brainstorming, scoping, ideation,
scripting, feedback rounds and project retrospectives
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and contractors when requiredExcellent communication and collaboration skills. Comfortable receiving feedback fromstakeholders and working within cross-functional teams to bring video content to life
Thorough knowledge of video formats, codecs, resolutions, and best practices for videocompression and export for platforms like YouTube and social media
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with solid knowledge ofthe Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition) for creating and enhancing visuals and sound
Experience working with various types of footage, including multi-camera edits, green screen keying, and visual effects (VFX) compositingStrong understanding of color grading techniques and tools (such as DaVinci Resolve orLumetri) to achieve a consistent look and feel across different video projects
Audio editing and sound design skills, with an ability to balance and enhance soundtracks,dialogue, and sound effects for optimal quality
Ability to lead and manage post-production workflows, ensuring timely delivery whilemaintaining a high standard of quality, often under tight deadlines
