Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical and Rehabilitation team. The RN will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, supporting both acute medical conditions and rehabilitative needs. This role plays a key part in helping patients regain independence and improve quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
- Coordinate care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians
- Educate patients and families on post-hospital care, recovery, and medication management
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all patients, adhering to infection control and safety standards
- Support patient rehabilitation goals and facilitate discharge planning
- Respond promptly to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions when necessary
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license [State/Province]
- BLS certification (required); ACLS certification (preferred)
- 1–2 years of experience in a Med/Surg or Rehabilitation unit preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding – must be able to lift/move patients, stand for long periods, and respond quickly in emergencies
- Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases
- Rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
