Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Registrar to join our team. The Registrar will play a crucial role in managing patient records, ensuring accurate data entry, and providing exceptional service to patients. This position requires proficiency in health information management systems and a strong understanding of medical billing processes.
Completing birth certificates and fetal death certificates on BMC Birthing Unit
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update patient records accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Process medical billing and coding using ICD-10 standards.
- Provide outstanding patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- File and organize documents efficiently to ensure easy access to information.
- Utilize computer systems for data entry and management, including 10 key typing skills.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate patient information is recorded.
- Assist in the training of new staff on health information management practices and systems, including Eaglesoft.
Experience
- Previous experience in a registrar or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing processes and health information management is essential.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems for data entry and management is required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
