Job Title: Environmental Services (EVS) Coordinator
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Job Type: 13 weeks of contract with possible extensions| Local travelers considered at $18/hr | Traveler's candidates considered at $23/hr

Job Summary:
The EVS Coordinator is responsible for performing routine and on-demand cleaning tasks in and around hospital departments, patient care units, and ancillary areas. This position also involves minor repairs, equipment transport, and unit moves while ensuring strict compliance with safety standards and organizational values. The EVS Coordinator will deliver high-quality service with a focus on patients, staff, and visitor satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute daily and scheduled cleaning in patient and non-patient areas.
- Conduct minor repairs and assist with internal moves.
- Transport soiled equipment safely and promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff via phones, pagers, and other devices.
- Adhere to the organization’s service standards and values.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and respond positively to feedback.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Environmental Services experience.
- Proven ability to meet established cleaning and safety standards.
- CPI certification (required for staff assigned to BHU and Emergency Department; can be completed post-offer).
- Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive tasks.
- Effective English communication (reading, writing, and verbal).
- Reliable personal transportation (required).
- Local candidates accepted at a $18/hr rate.
