Position Overview:

Comanche County Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in Cardiology to join our team for a 13-week assignment. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages in a regional referral center. This role requires a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement total nursing care for patients through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and care planning.
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient care teams to maintain professional standards of nursing practice.
• Develop and execute care systems for a diverse patient population including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care, particularly in the cardiology department.
• Monitor patient conditions, record symptoms, and administer prescribed treatments and medications.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and safety protocols.
• Provide support and guidance to patients and families regarding care plans, treatment options, and health education.

Submission Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing (Cardiology preferred).
• Holiday Work: Must be able to work some holidays during the assignment.
• Traveler Experience: Recent traveler experience is highly preferred.
• NIH Certification: Ability to obtain NIH certification after offer.
• Licensing/Certifications:
• Valid Oklahoma State License or compact state license.
• BLS (AHA) required.
• NIH Certification (can be obtained after offer).
• ACLS (AHA) preferred.
• Reference Requirements: Two supervisory reference forms (taken within the last two years).
• Skills Checklist: Current and relevant to the cardiology specialty.
