Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, assisting with their daily needs, and ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Conduct venipuncture and IV insertion when necessary.
- Provide support for patients with behavioral health needs.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as required.
- Document patient information accurately using ICD-10 coding standards.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in hospital medicine or similar healthcare settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs, performing IV insertions, and conducting venipuncture.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical coding, specifically ICD-10, is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
