Job Description: LPN Med Surg
Contract- 13 weeks
Shift- Night 12 hours
Location-Lawton, OK
Pay-$30-$33/hr on w2
Weekend Requirements: As needed
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including primary care and assisted living environments. The LVN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Perform basic coding using ICD-9 for billing and insurance purposes.
- Support patients with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterization when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
Submission Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience - Required
- Must be able to work some of the holidays while on assignment
- Recent traveler experience - highly preferred
- Can obtain NIH after offer

Profile Requirements:
- Work History
- Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the speciality
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
- Licensure & Certifications (OK State License or compact & BLS - AHA, NIH, ACLS - AHA Preferred)
- Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will consider local candidates at a reduced rate)
