Position- Pharmacy Technician

Specialty: Retail

Contract- 13 Weeks

Shift- Evening 8 hours

Location-Pittsfield, MA

Pay-$$30-31/hr on w2

This client will not consider any traveler who resides within 50 miles of facility

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacy operations, and patient service skills, particularly in an acute care or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and ensuring patients understand their medication regimens.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare sterile products, including IV infusions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication management for patients.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Stay informed about new medications, therapies, and pharmacy practices to enhance patient service.

Submission Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of current or past inpatient hospital experience/6 mos as a Nationally Certified Technician.
• Must be fully trained and proficient in all functions of the Pharmacy Technician job.
• High School graduate or high school equivalency certificate is required.
• PHARM TECH CERT - Certified Pharmacy Tech by PTCB - PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION BOARD - REQUIRED
• PHARMTECH REG -Registered MA Pharmacy Tech
• Must be able to work independently with limited although directly under the Community Pharmacy Supervisor is required.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
