Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Helpdesk Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring that all IT-related issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset, as you will be the first point of contact for technical assistance.
Duties
- Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues, including desktop support and network administration.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical problems related to Windows operating systems and applications.
- Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory.
- Assist with the deployment and management of software using SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
- Maintain DNS settings and resolve network connectivity issues.
- Communicate effectively with users to gather information about their technical problems and provide clear solutions.
- Document all support interactions in the ticketing system for tracking purposes.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in network administration and desktop support.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with users effectively.
- Experience with computer management, including hardware troubleshooting and software installations.
- Familiarity with DNS configuration and management.
- Knowledge of SCCM for software deployment is a plus.
- Experience with Active Directory for user account management.
- A customer service-oriented approach to assist users in a friendly and professional manner.
