What You Will Do as a Hospice Aide

As a Hospice Aide , you will be responsible for observing patients, reporting / documenting these observations and care performed. Some of your primary responsibilities will include :
- Providing personal care to patients including, bathing, changing bed linens, assisting with dressing, etc.
- Preparing nutritious meals and assisting in feeding
- Taking vitals such as, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care
- Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as needed
- Assisting patients in the self-administration of medications
- Reporting on patients’ conditions and significant changes to the RN
