Responsibilities
As our RN Resident (New Grad) atDignity Health SJHMC now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll make the transition from practicing procedures as a student to becoming a professional nurse. You’ll build trust with your clinical preceptor and patients as you practice classroom concepts in real-time. Our residency program establishes your position as a reliable resource and helpful supporter of patients and families.
Success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others and to put your classroom experience into practice. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about working at our hospital, making this a perfect starting point to launch your nursing career.
You’re in patient rooms, quickly rotating between immediate needs and check-ins to provide patient care while being monitored by your preceptor
Open to learning more about the business and operational practices in our facility
Develop patient advocate skills through observance and practice
Build your nursing skills as you learn to put your education into practice with actual patients

Qualifications
Minimum
Completion of board approved nursing program.
Letter of recommendation from nursing program clinical instructor.
AZ or Compact RN License- you must have a current RN license the week prior to program start date
Current Healthcare Provider AHA BLS completion card.
Preferred
BSN program completion preferred.
Nurse extern I program completion.
