Job Summary:
A Home Healthcare Agency is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable Office Assistant / Intake Coordinator to support administrative functions, patient coordination, and physician communication. The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience in Home Health Care or a medical office setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle patient intake, including verifying insurance, processing referrals, and obtaining necessary authorizations.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding care plans and services.
• Process and track physician orders and ensure timely documentation.
• Support billing and claims processing as needed.
• Perform general office duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Home Health Care or a medical office setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and the ability to drive within Texas.
