Position Title: Psychotherapist

Position Summary:

Adult, Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Service (ACAPS), a leading medical practice dedicated to comprehensive mental healthcare, is seeking a skilled Master's level Psychologist to provide therapeutic services to adult clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in adult psychotherapy, with experience in a variety of therapeutic modalities. The therapist will play a crucial role in helping clients develop coping mechanisms, manage life stressors, and achieve their mental health goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for adult clients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals and primary care providers as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records.
• Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest research and evidence-based practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Psychology or a related field from an accredited program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in the state of Texas.
• Strong clinical skills in adult psychotherapy, with experience in various therapeutic modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with adult clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills Required:

• Strong therapeutic skills, including active listening, empathy, and building rapport.
• Ability to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Crisis intervention skills.
• Knowledge of adult psychopathology and mental health disorders.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with other professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, primary care physicians).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in an adult mental health setting.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills.
• Certification in a specific therapeutic modality (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).
