About the Position:
We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn and contribute to a design team focused on international hotel and resort development.
As part of the studio, you will be creating, sharing, and brainstorming with a group of people with varied backgrounds and experiences, some very different than yours. This diversity of thought and approach results in breakthrough ideas that inspire, educate, and lead to innovative solutions. A spirit of collaboration is a must.
Qualifications
- Degree from accredited architectural / design school required
- 5-8 years of professional experience; hospitality design a plus
- Proficient In: Adobe Suites, AutoCad, Revit
- Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to clients
- Posses strong leadership, organizing, and analytical skills
- Strong written, oral, and visual communication skills
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Holding or pursuing Professional Architectural Registration a plus
Once you are here you will:
Studio
- Review drawings, project submittals and documentation for compliance
- Participate in concept development in terms of program, layout and design coordination
- Assist in project documentation while ensuring brand standards
- Assist in managing projects to ensure that quality, schedule, contractual, budget and client goals and constraints are met
- Assist in the development of concept through Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document sets following building codes, ADA guidelines where applicable, environmental standards and site regulations for compliance.
Leadership
- Assists in the mentoring, training, and development of unit members
- Follow company standards and ensure the quality of the firm’s level of drawing documentation
- Take initiative to ensure project deadlines are met
General
- Coordinate flow of information for clients, team members and overseas offices
- Coordinates and participates in pin-ups
- Communicate with senior management, clients and vendors
- Maintain current exposure to developments, trends, benchmarks, and practices within the design, construction and architectural industries
Travel
Opportunity to travel to worldwide offices and site meetings
