Our Lafayette, LA location has immediate opportunities for owner-operators / independent contract delivery drivers to join our operation. We are needing A Cargo Van for the routes that we have in Lafayette, LA, driver will be delivering office supplies. All drivers in the listed areas and surrounding cities, we want to hear from you!
As a 1099 contract driver, your role involves working as an independent contractor, often on a project-by-project basis. Here are some common responsibilities for 1099 drivers:
- Delivery Services: You’ll transport goods, packages, or supplies from one location to another. This could include food delivery, medical supplies, or other items12.
- Vehicle Operation: You’ll operate your own vehicle to complete deliveries. Following routes and adhering to safety regulations are essential.
- Communication: Timely communication with clients or dispatchers is crucial. But driver will use GPS navigation, you’ll need to provide updates on delivery status and any issues that arise.
- Equipment and Supplies: As an independent contractor, you’ll be responsible for providing your own equipment (such as a vehicle) and necessary supplies.
- Record Keeping: Keeping accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and expenses is essential for tax purposes.
Immediate Driver Opportunities:
- Vehicle Needed: Cargo VAN !!!!!!
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00am to till last drop
- Compensation: Routes can pay from $900.00 to $1300.00 per Week.
Independent Contract Driver Requirements:
- Delivery Knowledge: Driver experience preferred but not required
- Understanding of Directions: Must have a smart phone and able to find your way around your delivery area with a GPS or map
- Professionalism: Dependable and responsible individual able to interact well alongside staff members, management and clients. Excellent customer service skills
- Good Standing Driving Record: Driver license, insurance, and a 3-year Motor Vehicle Report (obtained in the last 30 days) also, a current and valid vehicle registration
- Valid Driver’s License, Social Security Card and vehicle insurance is needed
- Must Be 21 Years or Older
