Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Technician to join our team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring product quality by utilizing their knowledge of gauges, control systems, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in manufacturing environments such as sheet metal, welding, and related fields, and will be familiar with Quality Systems Manuals and national or industry-specific standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize precision gauges and control systems to ensure the quality and accuracy of products.
- Monitor and verify that production processes comply with quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure adherence to national standards such as ISO 9001, TS16949, and industry-specific guidelines such as APQP and PPAP.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the company’s Quality Systems Manual.
- Perform inspections and tests on materials, parts, and finished products to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Participate in root cause analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to maintain continuous quality improvements, including Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Support the creation, review, and implementation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Work Instructions.
- Provide assistance with auditing processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in time studies and contribute to ongoing improvements in manufacturing processes.
- Support project management efforts related to quality initiatives and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality control or quality technician role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of gauges, control systems, and measurement tools.
- Experience with national standards, such as ISO 9001, TS16949, and APQP/PPAP.
- Familiarity with Quality Systems Manuals and how they are implemented in a manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, including sheet metal, welding, and similar processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Technology, Engineering, or Manufacturing.
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Experience in auditing and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and conducting time studies.
- Proficient in Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with project management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong documentation skills, including the ability to author controlled SOPs and Work Instructions.

- Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
