Job Description : SUMMARY :
As a key member of our IT team, you will engineer, administer, and support network and network security functions across our enterprise infrastructure. Your expertise will help us design, analyze, implement, and maintain highly available network systems, ensuring they align with business objectives and service level agreements. This dynamic role is crucial for those who thrive in rapidly evolving environments.
You will collaborate with a team of IT administrators and engineers, demonstrating exceptional technical skills and reliability while delivering critical infrastructure services, and ensuring maximum accessibility, optimization, and security.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other work-related duties may be assigned :
Provide top-notch support for our Network Infrastructure with a customer-focused approach, ensuring swift and efficient service delivery.
Adhere to established configuration and change management policies to maintain awareness and approval for all changes made to the network infrastructure.
Oversee all aspects of engineering, designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and administrating network infrastructure solutions, focusing primarily on :
WAN Services solutions, including supporting network solutions for wide area networks, internet circuits, and point-to-point circuits, as well as advanced enterprise designs and health monitoring.
Wired / Wireless LAN Services solutions, implementing systems for both wired and wireless technologies, authentication, and performance monitoring.
Manage Third-Party Services, coordinating with external providers for seamless design, integration, and monitoring of third-party solutions within our client network.
Automate network deployment and data collection tasks to enhance productivity and ensure valid results.
Create and document comprehensive support strategies that align ongoing IT solutions with business expectations.
Develop and maintain meticulous documentation for all implemented networks, ensuring all relevant operational processes and policies are accurate and actionable.
Manage physical design and implementation for data centers and local communication rooms, including hands-on installation of cabling and hardware.
Assist in cultivating relationships with Data Center (Equinix) Vendors, addressing all aspects related to the data centers.
Familiarize and assist with the installation of data center components, such as UPS systems and cooling solutions.
Work on the design and installation of all systems being deployed within the Data Centers.
Collaborate with the security team to select and implement necessary security tools, policies, and procedures.
Communicate effectively with vendors and IT personnel to resolve technical issues.
Lead problem management initiatives and create root cause analysis documentation for management review.
Provide advanced technical support for end-users and promptly address security vulnerabilities and issues.
Repair and remediate network incidents, adhering to documented processes and service level agreements.
Conduct network maintenance and system upgrades, including applying patches and security configurations.
Monitor network performance to ensure reliable system availability in accordance with established processes and SLAs.
Generate recurring Network Health reports with key metrics to support status updates.
Perform configuration backups and execute disaster recovery operations when needed.
Implement automated network monitoring and alert systems to proactively manage service levels.
Develop testing platforms to catch network configuration inconsistencies prior to changes being applied.
Automate network device provisioning processes, enabling smooth execution of network changes alongside data collection for analysis.
Create and maintain tools that enhance network operation efficiency, reduce downtime, and facilitate rapid diagnosis and remediation of network issues.
Set and achieve operational and project goals while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent business outcomes across various locations.
Identify opportunities for process and policy improvements to enhance operational efficiency and quality.
Engage in a global team's 24 / 7 on-call rotation, seeking ways to improve issue routing, processes, or automation to lessen recurring escalations.
Facilitate the design and deployment of new office openings by using standardization and automation in collaboration with other departments.
Take the lead in developing comprehensive business justifications for network infrastructure projects, including funding requirements.
Identify necessary tasks to achieve project goals and provide accurate work effort estimates.
Manage the project installation and implementation of IT network infrastructure initiatives using industry best practices.
Act as a technical liaison with vendors while maintaining strong relationships with external suppliers.
Stay informed on technology trends that impact our business and provide recommendations for system improvements.
Address and implement new hardware / software solutions to meet identified IT infrastructure needs.
Conduct performance monitoring, system tuning, and capacity planning to ensure optimal system functionality.
Document standards, policies, and procedures for specific IT network environments and maintain system design documentation.
Gain familiarity with the hardware / software applications utilized within our IT networking environment for effective deployment and support.
