Information Technology Manager

Overview
The IT Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading IT related activities. This individual will determine the company’s IT needs and be responsible for implementing technology solutions that align with business objectives.

This position will oversee the day-to-day activities of the IT team and assign short- and long-term departmental goals. The systems include all software, hardware, networks, phones, and related infrastructure.

Duties

• Manage IT staff by mentoring, training and providing technical guidance
• Establish effective internal processes, policies and procedures, and security practices
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards
• Identify opportunities for business optimization and process improvement
• Capable driving continuous improvements
• Install, configure, and update software and hardware
• Create and manage rolling 3-year plan and budget for software and hardware needs
• Research and implement industry best practices
• Manage ERP system and provide reports as needed for various departments
• Manage network servers, technology tools, and related infrastructure
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and prevent outages
• Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place and regularly updated to identify and prevent any possible intrusions
• Train employees on new technologies
• Test programming for in-house software programs
• Develop departmental and organizational strategies
• Analyze results of department survey for appropriate continuous improvement actions
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Seven (7) or more years of experience in Information Technology or related experience
• Three (3) or more years of managerial experience
• Degree in Information Technology or related field
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Experience with Microsoft networks
• Experience with SQL server database and Visual Basic in a Client/Server environment
• Experience in working in a manufacturing and /or warehouse environment
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Collaborative team player with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
• Advanced understanding of networking including switch configuration
• Strong customer service orientation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft products including Internet Browsers
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a diverse team
• IT certifications a plus
