We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and reliable BOPIS/Customer Service Associate to join our team. This role is two-fold, first, you will be responsible for helping to fulfill internet orders. Additionally, you will also be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. Your responsibilities will also include assisting customers with inquiries, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Pull, package, and ship out merchandise to fulfill internet orders in a timely manner.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries in a friendly manner.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining cash handling protocols.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS systems, ensuring accuracy in all retail math calculations.
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.
- Supervise and train new staff members in customer service best practices and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for customers.
- Address customer complaints or issues promptly, providing effective solutions to enhance customer loyalty.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or grocery customer service is preferred.
- Proficiency in cash handling and operating cash registers is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Basic math skills are required for accurate transaction processing and retail math calculations.
- Experience with upselling techniques is a plus, contributing to overall sales performance.
- Ability to supervise team members and foster a collaborative work environment is desirable.
- Ability to speak more than one language to help a broader range of customers is a huge plus, but not required.
