What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at Dillard's, Inc.?
- Must be dependable with open availability.
- Responsible for unloading cases of merchandise from trucks onto conveyor lines
- Assisting in staging of cartons for processors
- Helps in processing merchandise before it’s sent to sales floor
- Cleans and stages assigned work area as needed at end of shift
- Helps with daily housekeeping duties such as collecting trash, boxes, totes, and other processing materials from the sales floor, dust mopping, vacuuming floors, cleaning restrooms, and operating floor polishing equipment.
- Cleaning and maintaining restrooms daily.
- Able to be at work for scheduled time and demonstrate reliable and punctual attendance. Includes taking and returning from breaks, attending meetings and working overtime when requested.
- Able to understand and follow written and verbal direction in English and to complete assigned tasks on schedule. Learn from directions, observations and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgement.
- Work independently or as part of a team, utilizing interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with co-workers and customers in a timely, professional and personable manner.
- Ability to work with supervision, responding appropriately to direction, feedback, evaluation, coaching, and/or discipline.
- Able to maintain minimum productivity, quality, and safety standards
Physical Demands
- Standing, reaching at or below shoulders. Lifting/lowering below waist up to 50lbs. Lifting/lowering between waist and chest up to 50lbs. Lifting/lowering above the shoulder up to 50lbs.
- Walking, reaching above shoulder height, wrist flexion, neck flexion, twisting/turning.
- Bending and squatting. Repetitive hand motions and foot controls. Tools/Materials Used
- Freight elevator, hand truck, pallet jacks, wheeled carts, box cutter, totes, dock plate and phone/radio
