We are seeking a skilled and experienced Alarm Technician to join our team. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills.
Duties:
- Install, program, and troubleshoot alarm systems, including intrusion detection systems (IDS), fire alarms, and security systems
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for alarm system installation
- Design alarm system layouts based on client needs and building specifications
- Test and inspect installed alarm systems to ensure proper functioning
- Provide training to clients on how to operate and maintain their alarm systems
- Respond to service calls and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and inspections
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of alarm system sales, installation, and maintenance
- Proficiency in IDS programming and system design
- Ability to telecommunicate with clients to understand their security needs
- Excellent problem-solving skills to detect and resolve issues with alarm systems
- Familiarity with blueprint reading for accurate system installation
- Proficient in using hand tools for equipment installation and repair
- Experience in field service work, preferably in the low voltage industry
