This role is on our Software Integration and Administration team which consists of closely-knit team members who value diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives. Our team is constantly evolving, so the ability to adapt quickly is important for success in this role. As a member of this team, you will need to be able to take the initiative to get things done but you will also have the support of your team as you learn new skills and technologies. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work with network engineers, system administrators, database administrators, and information security to design application server environments
- Serve as a liaison between the Infrastructure administration groups and end-users of the applications
- Understand how the IT issues we face impact the overall business and be able to proactively identify potential problems as well as solutions
- Develop relationships with vendors and internal clients, ensuring that systems meet corporate quality standards and conform to industry best practices
- Meet with clients and understand their needs, as well as translate those into technical requirements
- Coordinate with development teams to identify business needs
- Architect and automate business processes within the application framework of Dillard’s
- Participate in an on-call rotation
THE SKILL SET
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to work onsite at Corporate Headquarters in Little Rock, AR
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Experience with *NIX and/or Windows
- Possesses effective scripting and automation knowledge, and the ability to analyze systems and determine how these systems can meet the client's needs
THE "NICE TO HAVE"s
- Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience with LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) or Active Directory
- Experience in application development
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Experience with multiple scripting languages
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, and/or PowerShell would be very beneficial
