We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our medical malpractice legal team. Our law firm focuses primarily on various areas of healthcare law including malpractice litigation, Board and regulatory investigations and HIPAA compliance, employment matters, and peer review and privilege/insurance matters . Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring clarity and compliance with applicable laws.
- Assist in litigating cases in court, representing clients effectively while adhering to ethical standards.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, providing insights and recommendations based on legal analysis.
- Communicate directly with clients to provide updates on case progress and gather necessary information for case development.
- Participate in meetings with clients, witnesses, and experts to prepare for trials or negotiations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Virginia.
- Proven skills in legal research and drafting documents with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Experience in litigation is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple cases effectively.
