Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of property values for taxation purposes, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.
- Analyze financial statements and tax documents to determine accurate property valuations.
- Utilize QuickBooks for maintaining financial records and managing accounts payable.
- Perform financial audits to verify the accuracy of reported values and assess potential discrepancies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather necessary documentation for tax assessments.
- Invest time in continuous professional development to stay updated on tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on property assessments, including justifications for valuations.
- Assist in the implementation of best practices for asset management within the organization.
Requirements
- Certification as a Tax Assessor or equivalent qualification is required.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting, tax accounting, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software applications.
- Knowledge of financial auditing principles and practices.
- Familiarity with technical accounting standards and asset management strategies.
