Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated English/Spanish speaking and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment, all while delivering exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays, CBCT) and ensure proper medical imaging protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix software to optimize patient flow.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Take and record vital signs as needed prior to treatments.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, focusing on creating a comfortable experience for young patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance overall patient satisfaction and office efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting or completion of a recognized dental assistant program.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix Ascend or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation, and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices as well as pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
- Ability to perform medical imaging procedures safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
