Position: Assistant Sales Account Manager
Full-Time, Hourly
Career position with potential for advancement
Compensation:
- $16.50 to $18.50 per hour
- Team and individual bonus opportunities based on sales metrics, eligible after 90 days

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Assistant Sales Account Manager to support our team of sales account managers. In this role, you will assist in communicating with our customer base of professional retail florists to fulfill and manage their orders. You will be responsible for ensuring your customers receive the freshest and highest quality products. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing company, and industry, while gaining valuable experience in the sales of perishable and non-perishable floral products.
A successful Assistant Sales Account Manager at Dillon Floral will assist our Sales Team with the following responsibilities:
Customer Relations:
- Managing incoming and outgoing sales calls with customers.
- Building and preserving strong relationships with customers.
- Maintaining clear and frequent communication and proactive follow-ups to ensure exceptional service and a seamless customer experience.
- Supporting efforts to acquire and service new customers.
Order Entry/ AS400 system:
- Entering customer orders for all 3 company departments (Fresh flowers and greens, hard-goods supplies, and potted plants) using our AS/400 computer system.
- Train to learn additional intermediate functions and processes on our AS/400 computer system.
Supporting our Team of Sales Account Managers:
- Regularly providing support and coverage for your fellow Sales Account Managers, including during absences and vacations.
- Managing and servicing unassigned customers.
- Assisting remote Sales Account Managers with order adjustments and more.
Interdepartmental Relations:
- Cross training in all 3 departments to gain insight into how all the moving parts of each department work together seamlessly.
- Communicating and collaborating with our Buying Managers about products requested by customers, current and future inventory, product delivery schedules, pricing, and product quality.
- Communicating and collaborating with our Order Processing Team to handle product substitutions, quality issues, and adjustments.
- Inspection of customer orders after being fulfilled by our Order Processing Team.
Requirements for this position:
- Professional floral experience.
- The ability to perform all job responsibilities in-person at our offices in Bloomsburg, PA. This is not a remote position.
- Open availability 2 weeks prior to Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and the Christmas holiday.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of cut flowers, potted plants, and floral supplies.
- Background in floral and plant care.
- Confident phone communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
