What are the responsibilities and job description for the 4th Grade Spanish/Bilingual Teacher position at Dillon Valley Elementary School?
This is a full time Spanish position (1.0) in a dual language school. You will provide all 4th-grade instruction in Spanish within a 50:50 model. A teaching partner will instruct the students in English.
Plans instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards. Supervises assigned students and maintains a positive learning environment. Adapt instruction to meet the individual learning needs of all students resulting in an increased probability of advancing their achievement. Primary professional efforts are directed toward the development and success of their individual professional goals and specifically towards instructional improvement and the development of expertise in all areas of instruction. Maintain positive inter-personal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
Bachelor's degree required.
Active teacher authorization or license issued by the State of Colorado.
Endorsement in the area(s) of teaching assignment preferred.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
For all positions, experience is determined by years of work in the same job title. Experience that is similar but not the same job may be calculated at a 3:1 credit for years of experience. Year of Experience shall be whole numbers and not partial years.
